Hi,
My system uses a TRX40 an AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X, 4x16GB GSkill RAM and a 850W power supply. System was working fine for about 5months with original BIOS settings. I modified the BIOS CPU settings last night which lead to the computer not booting properly. Motherboard Dr. Debug left at 00. I assume the only way to fix this would be to clear the CMOS after disconnecting the power supply. I did it without success. So I decided to use the flashback bios procedure using an usb stick. I downloaded the latest BIOS from the ASROCK website and plugged the usb drive. The procedure worked, but now the problem is different on the motherboard after clearing the CMOS. The motherboard boots, starts running the debug codes (if I remove all the RAM sticks, it detects the absence of RAM and returns the code 10), but towards the end of its debug scans the light from the debug display turns off, the reset and power button turns off, but the fans stay on and nothing else happens. No display on any monitors. I tried removing all the GPUs and peripherals, kept 1 ram stick and 1 ssd, disconnected the power supply, cleared the CMOS, but it still behaves the same. The motherboard runs the list of debug codes and towards the end, the debug display turns off and the light on the reset and power buttons turn off as well. Is it possible that the latest BIOS corrupted the MoBo or is not compatible with some of hardware? |
