hey there,

my first AMD build in many years and hoping to get some help with a dual GPU setup.

A new x570m Pro4 with the newest BIOS won't POST with two Quadro P2000 cards installed. The cards are good, the box boots when just one is installed. With two of them I just get the red VGA LED and no go.

When just a single GPU is installed in the PCIE3 slot, I get the same result, so basically it appears the PCIE3 port wont take the GPU either in single or dual GPU configuration.

any idea where can I start troubleshooting this?

any help is much appreciated

MB: x570M Pro4
CPU: 3700X
GPU: two Quadro P2000

Try swapping them around. And make sure to set PCIe mode to pcie 3, instead of Auto, which might go to pcie 4 mode. Also, there might be a setting on motherboard to enable 2 GPUs in BIOS, however I'm not sure.

swapping around doesnt help, none of them will POST in the lower PCIe slot.

I don't recall seeing a setting for dual GPU in the BIOS.

I will set the PCIe mode to version 3 and report back, thank you for finding the time to reply!.

the dual gpu setting might be innocently 'disguised' as setting pcie slots
2x8 from 1 x 16
it is on both my asrock boards (x379 taichi and the b450m pro4)
