While trying to tune the fan curve on my X570m with 3800x, I used A-Tune to make it work perfectly and keep the noise and temps under control, but every single time I use A-Tune the fan starts to make a lot more noise, as if it's rattling or vibrating.
I don't know a huge amount about fans but it sounds like the pulses to spin the blades are competing (with the BIOS' own efforts to do the same?) and it's sort of... hammering at the wrong time? The difference in noise levels before and after A-Tune run are quite noticeable, and it's not a fan WHOOSH, it's just a quiet, extra layer of ... high speed ticking? Rattling? A percussive noise, of some sort. If I reboot, it's gone. As soon as A-Tune starts and it manages the fan curve, it gets noisy again. Is there any way to control the curve without this effect? And gosh, I'd love it if I could control only the rear fan, or base the rear fan temp on the internal case temp (since that's sort of important for GPU cooling...) or reset the curve, but none of these options seems to exist. Thanks for any tips. |

Never did solve this. The only way to keep the fans quiet is to not use A-Tune.
The latest BIOS revision (2.6) made a big difference to the fan noise so I no longer need to make these adjustments anyway. |

I have the same problem as you, for the second time now, with 2 different Motherboards from ASRock.
The first one was the B550 M-ITX/ac I thought the Motherboard or the Fan has a Hardware failure, but today 2 months later the same Problem appeared with the ASRock B450 Hdv R4.0 and another Fan. The Fans are both from bequiet! But I think it has to do with the Software because if the Fans are Set Up via BIOS there are not these annoying noises. In my case it was a Sound with high Pitch, No vibrations |

Yeah, I can only guess at the reasons, but the software definitely has trouble making the required adjustments. =/
Thanks for sharing your experience. |
