MB: ASRock Z77 Extreme4, RAM: G.Skill trident F3-1600C7Q-32GTX
I ran this system originally with all 4 pieces of the above ram, all was well for months. 2 months ago, I loaned sticks to my son and just now tried returning it to my system. Code 55 with all 4 sticks. If I run any 2 sticks of the RAM in bank 1 (a1/b1), I can see 16 G and the system works fine, every time. Adding 2 sticks to 2nd bank (a2/b2), the system will rarely post and boot. Oddly, it did boot just once so far, showing 32 GB in windows. Anyone heard of this ? I will try clearing CMOS and trying again later . . . . |

Unslot all four sticks and blow whatever dust may have accumulated in the memory slots in their absence.
Time to test each stick individually. If you lent out all four sticks and used different, then yes, a BIOS clearing is in order. < id="kpm_plugin" ="application/x-KPMPlugin">
