I have just built the following setup
AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core ASRock - B450 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard Patriot - Viper 4 16 GB DDR4-3000 GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8 GB ARMOR Corsair - TXM Gold 550 W 240GB SSD 2TB WD HDD Windows 10 pro I have updated the BIOS - now running 1.80 Windows starts ok but after about 5 mins completely freezes and a resatrt is needed. I've ran Memtest and BurnInTest, memtest shows no errors, BIT doesn't complete as the system just freezes and has to be restarted, Can anyone help? |

It could be many things.
First check Windows logs for events before the freeze has occurred. Then install HWINFO64 or similar and monitor the voltages and temps of all things. See if something is out of the ordinary. It's always a good idea to re-build everything from scratch, check seating of all components, cabling, stand-offs, etc. Then, clear CMOS, reboot and re-deploy OS. Run OS updates, and only then install just the GPU driver. See how it goes from then. |
