I am about to update my B760M Pro RS/D4 PC from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

I am going to install Windows 11 on a new M.2 drive. Afterwards put the old drive with Windows 10 into the second M.2 slot in order to copy some files from old to new drives.

Will the PC automatically boot from the first M.2 slot? Or am I asking for trouble by having two boot drives?

Thanks for any comments & suggestions.

You can set Boot Priority on the "Boot" screen of the BIOS - you should be able to tell it to prioritize the new Windows Install - also, you can use "Boot Override" which is typically on the same BIOS screen as the "Save & Exit" option, to manually go to one install or the other, depending on what you need to do.
But you should be able to tell it which drive to boot to on the "Boot" tab of the BIOS. Which ever one is at the top is the one it will prioritize.
