Hello, I'm new, I am getting an error when I try to make a new post about the issue I'm having here.
I have a Samsung 990 Pro 4TB SSD that is not detecting on any of the m.2 slots on my new ASRock X870E Taichi motherboard. I have double checked, the drive DOES work, I have a USB m.2 enclosure, as well as a pcie m.2 card, and it detects in both of those and works. I know the Samsung 4TB 990 Pro is not on the QVL for the motherboard (for some reason I don't understand given the popularity of both the drive and the motherboard), but I'm hoping that this is something that is fixable to have it work in one of the motherboard's m.2 slots, since running the pcie m.2 card lowers the bandwidth on the GPU slot to x8 5.0, and using the USB m.2 enclosure limits the drive speed to 1GB/s.
Please advise, thank you, if I should contact customer support of Asrock directly let me know.

From what I can tell, the issue has 'miraculously' solved itself, either updating to BIOS 3.50 did it, or me putting the drive in the primary (top) M.2 slot, made it show up, and now it's showing up & working in all slots. It's unfortunate the M.2 slot spacing (and GPU) interfere with being able to put better heatsinks on the M.2s, the stock 'plate' cooler the 2 slots that are under the GPU slot has is very inadequate for Gen4 drives it seems. But, at least it can see my Samsung drive now. I'll post back with any further updates.
