Hello. Today I built a computer with an ASRock A620M Pro RS. Here are the specs: Motherboard: ASRock A620M Pro RS CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X RAM: 2 x 16GB Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 6000MHz CL36 PSU: BeQuiet! System Power 10 650W SSD 1: Kingston KC3000 1TB SSD 2: Patriot P300 128GB CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 36 Case Fans: 6 x Arctic P12 PWM PST GPU: Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7600 After I select "shut down" from the OS (Fedora Silverblue 40), the video signal stops but all of my fans stay on (after speeding up a little) and the power indicator LED also stays on. I did not change anything in the BIOS/UEFI, I only upgraded it from version 1.28 to 3.06 using the BIOS Flashback function in order to support my CPU. Is there any way to fix this? | |

So this issue seems to be caused by my Linux install, as I just installed Windows 11 to the second SSD and the computer turns of properly when powered off by Windows. I will reinstall Fedora (my current install was not fresh, I used it on another computer before) and update this post if the problem persists or not.

Hello, check what kernel you are using. There are reports that kernel version 6.8.8 works fine. Others have problems with shutting down or sleep mode. I'm not fedopra user but that popped out while quick searching. I tried downgrading from kernel 6.10.5 to 6.8.8, the issue persists.

Still, that is propably fedora based problem. Did you try other distros? Maybe ubuntu livecd for starters? System logs should have something in them too.

Unfortunately it happens on Ubuntu live USB too. Thanks for your suggestion though, I should have tried that before posting here.

I may have experienced this after enabling https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/how-can-i-enable-hibernation-in-fedora/89327/3, or after enabling USB PD on sleep.
