I bought the X300 and have 4 drives. 2 x Nvme both 2Tb each. 2 x Sata SSD. 1Tb and 500Gb. I wanted to replace the 500 GB disk for a 2Tb one. But if failed. I tried everything and also checked wiring but it will not recognize the disk, also not in UEFI bios. When I attach the 2Tb drive with a cable to external USB port the drive just works fine. Is a Sata SSD not possible on this motherboard? I have latest bios 2.10. I use secure boot and CSM is disabled.

If it works over USB but not SATA, it might be a port limitation or power issue?some boards share lanes and won?t detect larger drives on certain SATA slots. Edited by Xaltar - 26 Jul 2025 at 2:20am
