Hello,
I am trying to repair a Windows 10 Boot issue with a new Windows 10 OEM disk. However, after trying to run the automatic repair I am no longer seeing my optical drive listing in the boot options in my bios. My board is a Z97 extreme6/ 3.1. I don't know if I mistakenly selected a UEFI firmware update and that killed the connection to my dvd drive. It has been several days of trying to fix a Windows update that killed my boot after upgrading from Windows 7. I spent a few days trying to repair it from media instillation tool. Now I went and bought a disk and my dvd drive is no longer accessible. Would appreciate some help. Best, Dan |

Looking for suggestions on what I can do to add back my optical drive to my Bios so I can reinstall Windows.
The optical drive has power, I can open it and close it and it spins with a disk in it. Both power and sata cable are connected. What's the best way to have UEFI pick up a drive? |
