My X570 Steel Legend + Radeon RX 5700 XT mostly works... POSTs just fine and boots ok. What I need help with is when I put a decent amount of load on the rig such as playing Borderlands 3 or Control... a few minutes into the game I get a crazy high pitched beep coming from the case. If I pause the game or switch to another app it usually stops. It's driving me (and my dog) crazy. Any ideas?

do come gaming with side cover off .. when it starts to whine, see if you can pinpoint what component it's emanating from ..
here is another thread how an individual cured his 5700xt's coil whine https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1140219-i-just-fixed-my-graphics-cards-coil-whine-heres-how/ |

agree sounds like coil whine
either the gpu or in some cases can be the psu under load without checking the links provided by threedee i assume the suggestion is to use a hot glue gun to stop the resonance of the offeding item |
