Asrock B450M Pro4 reading memory as 2133, not 3000

   Total noob here so pardon my stupidity.

I built a PC with the following specs: Asrock B450m Pro4 mobo, EVGA GeForce RTX 2060, AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 4x8GB Corsair Vegeance LPX DDR4 3000MHz (32gb total), Firecuda 2TB SSHD & WD 1TB SSD (for OS). Running Windows 10.

I did benchmark with Userbenchmark.com and the results were as follows:

After this, I did a clean install of the Nvidia drivers. In the settings, I changed the power management mode from optimum to preferred maximum performance. Also changed texture filtering quality to high performance. In windows power settings I changed it to Max performance. I'm only using a 1080p TV as monitor with 60hz and that's set properly in display settings. In bios I also changed memory speed to the advertised speed (or so i thought). Also, I ended as many Windows background process' as I could in addition to turning off background activity for most programs. I performed another benchmark after these changes and results are as follow:

What am I missing here? Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible my GPU is faulty? Additionally, it seems the memory speed change didn't take effect? I went back to BIOS and although I changed it to XMP Profile one from Auto, it still appears as 2133 even though 3000 is selected and displayed to the right. Refer to image below:

I'd think I wouldnt need to overclock, but are these results to be expected with this setup? Is it required and/or suggested to overclock regardless of a setup? I'm at a loss here and not sure where to go. I feel like this should be capable of.much better results and the memory thing is also driving me nuts!

	first off id suggest enter bios on startup go to the exit tab and select reset bios defaults then save and exit reboot to windows while your there go to the AMD SUPPORT WEBSITE look for downloads and download the amd chipset driver for the b450 chipset download and install this will now properly setup the chipset drivers ( keep these updated from amd not from old asrock files) now this will have set the windows performance plan to 'ryzen' which is the one you want now reboot into bios and look for the xmp option manually set it for xmp 3000 then check the voltage for dram has changed to 1.35volts (this is best way to confirm its set xmp) go to the exit tab and MAKE SURE you select 'save changes and exit' let it reboot to windows (if it keeps rebooting 2-3 times itself this means its not able to set the xmp 3000 on all 4 sticks of ram so will finally change them back to 2133 and boot into windows ) it sounds like you either didnt select save abnd exit OR your ram sticks will not work at 3000xmp with your cpu my wife has this very same motherboard with the r5 1600 cpu and it runs crucial ballistix perfectly fine at 3200mhz , but the corsair ram can be trouble with ryzens and esp. trying to run 4 sticks at xmp

	Thank you! I will try this when home but I did save and exit after memory changes. Assuming the procedure you described does NOT work, should I just get a different motherboard...? This sucksss.

	Very late reply, hoping you'll see... I performed all steps as you described and it seems to have rebooted 2-3 times at the end like you stated... what's best course of action? Is there a market for used ram so I can by the crucial? Or am I SOL and count my losses. Thanks so much for your help
