Hello!! I have an A770 PG 16gb. When installing an update of the RGB software, the firmware update crashed and now my GPU isn`t being recognized at all (RBG wise). I know I can reinstall the firmware, but there's no A770 option, only B580.
Please, I need an answer. I don't want to have an RGB less card only because the update failed (its practically new). Before that, the RBG worked perfectly. |

Hi Kalrot, I would recommend you open a support ticket with ASRock:
https://tw.asrock.com/events/tsd.asp They will be able to advise you. For future reference, I always advise against firmware updates unless you have a specific need to do so. If it's working, particularly with something like RGB that involves no performance benefit whatsoever, leave it alone. |

The firmware update wasn't even my choice. I was installing a Polychrome update, and it started doing it automatically.
If I knew they would do that, I wouldn't have done it. But there wasn't any warning. Already opened a ticket with them, their option was to RMA the card. Wich is stupid tbh, have a GPU-less PC only for RGB is stupid. But I know it can be fixed if they release a firmware update like the other cards have. For example, the 7600 PG and this one are practically the same RGB wise, pretty sure the firmware is also the same. But no, they haven't uploaded it. Only the B580 has that option, not even the B570 wich is as new as that one. I hope another person has another answer. |

Ah, I see, you mean the update that occurs automatically with Polychrome. Sorry,
my bad, I forgot it does that. I don't use Polychrome on my systems (I turn off RGB). RGB software is the reason I don't use RGB in my systems. On some of my systems there is RGB control in the BIOS so I use that, otherwise, I turn it off. The problem is that every manufacturer has to have it's own proprietary RGB implementation and it is very problematic. I am afraid I have no solution for you. There likely is one but it will involve flashing the aRGB ROM with 3rd party tools. Good luck. |
