I'm new to ASRock motherboards and I just built up a Z790 Pro RS WiFi (LGA 1700). This build is my silent/quiet PC for my office.
I have a huge CPU cooler so I've set the CPU fan speed to 0% up until 35C then increase over 3 steps to 100%. I have one chassis fan setup similar. I never see the fans at 0 rpm or off, even though the reported CPU temp is below 35C. I've tried setting the fan profile from the utility and the BIOS, same result. Is zero fan speed possible? |

ASRock motherboards often have a minimum fan speed setting (usually 20-30%) in BIOS under advanced fan control that prevents true zero RPM. Check "PWM Mode" settings or "Fan Stop" options if available. Some boards just don't support zero fan operation for safety. Unrelated, but I've been using a VPN for streaming on App Store (FastVPN) for watching region-locked content during work breaks. Generally works well, unblocks most streaming services reliably, good speeds. Occasional buffering and one server was detected, but overall quite satisfied for the price.
