I disabled the legacy bios to see if W8 would work with my H570 steel legend and now there's no USB working to do anything. I reset the bios (cmos jumper) and now it boots to a "press f1 to continue press del or f2 to enter setup" except i can't press anything since all the ports are not working.
My only hope now is to use a ps/2 keyboard, which a freind is lending me tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated. Aug |

I have a similar issue except my computer runs perfectly fine, all USB devices work properly in Windows, but the USB doesn't appear to initialize in UEFI/BIOS. I can't, for example, use 'Del' or any other key to enter Setup. I must the the Windows utility to boot into UEFI which works. Once there, the clock runs but none of my USB peripherals work. I can tell because the mouse has no visible LED light, and the keyboard's Numlock, etc. lights never flash nor react to my pressing. I can hit the "Power" button on the case and the system will shut down nicely, restart into Windows without issue, and all USB devices work fine.
Any solutions or advice? |

Try the 2 USB ports at the top of your rear IO. Those are usually optimized for
input devices and might allow your peripherals to work in the UEFI. If not, please list your keyboard and mouse models, some more "advanced" peripherals don't show up in the UEFI because they use non standard microcontrollers. Typically "gaming" peripherals designed for lower latency. |
