Trying to power up with the CPU removed also gives the same pulsing blue, so that tells me based on your last comment, for whatever reason the board isn't "seeing" the CPU(s).
Confirmed it is inserted the right way - it's keyed so only goes in one way. As far as I can see the CPUs look fine and flat. For all this testing I have the board out of the case, mounted on plastic standoffs on my bench. The PCIe diagnostic cards look interesting, never knew there was such a thing. Not really extreme priced, so I'll do a little shopping and maybe pick one up. I need the space on The Bench Of Doom for another build for a friend. This troubleshooting will have to be put to the side for a few days. I just didn't want it to appear that I ghosted... Again, really appreciate your help. I'll be back. |

I hear ya, love the attitude too. This kind of thing is best viewed as a mystery
to be solved rather than an annoyance. Being patient and methodical helps tremendously. Good luck with the other build, I will be here when you get back to it. |
