I don't think it has anything to do with a conspiracy. Like, if you have a USB 2.0 port, you wouldn't call it a manufacturer conspiracy that they can't give you a BIOS update to turn your USB 2.0 port into a USB 3.0 port, right? TPM 1.2 vs TPM 2.0 is like that. Think of a motherboard that came with TPM 1.2 as analogous to having USB 2.0 ports. At least that's my understanding of how it works, based on what I read. |
