As stated above, I have the ASRock Fatal1ty X399. Just had FIOS GB Ethernet installed and had the FIOS router hooked up to the 10GB Ethernet port. During speed tests, I was getting ~900 MBps download but it would flatline at 0 and error out during the upload portion. Switching to a normal 1GB port brought the upload speed to about 250-300MBps - but I was curious if anyone else has had errors concerning upload speed for the 10GB port, if mine might be faulty, or if something else is happening I?™m unaware of.

900Mbps for a 10Gbps port is not good.
1st - you need a quality Cat.7 (or above) cable, properly crimped. Then you need a recent FW for the router and the NIC. Then - good drivers. Aaaand then - maybe properly tuned iperf3. Only after all of the above is checked we can start the real troubleshooting. |
