Hello..... I overclocked this motherboard and when it reboots, the bios does not come up and I get 2x three short beeps. I've tried removing the memory and reseating and also tried one stick at a time. Also I unplugged the power supply, pressed the power button to discharge, and pressed the bios reset button on the back. Still will not boot into bios.
I also tried some other memory from another computer.... still will not boot. Any other motherboard I've had would just reboot back to bios after a failed overclock. Any help much appreciated:) |

Update on everything I've tried with no resolution
- tested ram and worked fine in another computer - tested cpu in another computer and worked fine - disconnected battery, pressed power button for 30 seconds, held bios reset button for 10 min, then left over night... still 2x three short beeps. Correct me if I'm wrong, but on this model the cmos battery is disabled by unplugging the tiny 2 pin connector that leads to the battery. Looks like it is not the standard removal of the battery like on most all motherboards I have worked on. - I'm thinking the bios is faulty and I am not able to reset the bios This is definitely a motherboard problem and not a component problem. Any ideas on hoe to fix this? |

Make sure the RAM is fully seated, this particular beep code is typically caused
by the RAM not being seated all the way or dirty traces on the RAM contact area. |
