This Intel i7 computer was reported with problems serious enough for the hard drive to be removed and relegated to storage by the original owner about 7 years ago.
I got it as a possible backup for my CNC milling machine.

I added an ebay 'new' Seagate drive and attempted an install of Ubuntu 20.04.1.
The install failed, so tried Lubuntu 18.04.2 and Ubuntu Mate, both fail.
The live sessions on the USBs seem to work fine.
Tried another hard drive from a local supplier with the same results.

A family IT person got Windows 7 going again, but could not upgrade to W10.

Are there any known issues with this mobo ?
That are correctable ?

My next step will be on the workbench for a power rail check/monitor.
