No Post on Startup

   Hey guys,

First of all, sorry for english mistakes as english is not my first language and i am still learning :)

I've bought a used AsRock B85M Pro4 for my i7 4770k and theres no signal to the monitor nor any beeps (tried plugging speakers in) or led signal ... 
The i7 got an graphics chip so i guess thats not the problem, as i got no graphicscard installed yet.

I googled it and found out that maybe the bios version isnt up to date and the motherboard doesnt support this cpu yet with the bios version... 
So then I bought a cheap processor that should work with the earliest bios version (pentium g3420) to update the bios, but still there is no signal and it seems to not go past post and therefore cannot update my bios version... 

I am kind of a noob with this and only know a few things with motherboards etc and i dont really know what to do now.

The pc starts, like the fans are all spinning and when i tried to install a graphics card to test if thats the problem, the graphicscard fans would also spin so i guess that the motherboard works kind of.
Also there are no pins broken or bent.

What i tried to do:

- nothing plugged in exept hdmi for the monitor
- check all cables 
- only 1 Ram
- plugging speakers in to hear beep signals

Again my specs:

-  AsRock B85M Pro 4
-  Intel i7 4770k / Intel Pentium G3420 (only for boot)
-  2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3-1600

	The 4770k should be supported, even on the release BIOS version (ALL) so that isn't the issue here. Do you have your 8pin CPU power cable connected to the board? Make sure it is a 4+4 8 pin not a 6+2 8 pin, the 6+2 connector is for PCIe devices like GPUs. If this cable is not connected you will not get POST.

	Make sure you have cleared CMOS: http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=630&title=how-to-clear-cmos-via-battery-removal Given the board is used you will want to make sure you have BIOS defaults loaded. If the previous owner used vastly different RAM it could prevent your new setup from POSTing. Next make sure you have the RAM in slots A2 and B2. If that does not work then move on to a basic setup, with only a single stick of RAM in slot A2 and the CPU connected to the board see if you can get POST. No SATA cables, front panel connections etc, just the 24 pin power, 8 pin power CPU, single RAM stick, display cable and a keyboard.

	Hey, I tried the CMOS reset like you said it and tried starting with one Ram Stick in A2 and two in A2 and B2, but still no Post...

	Have you checked the socket for bent pins? If you have not already, try a different PSU, the one you are using could be delivering inadequate power for the system to post. The only other thing I can suggest is to try the board outside the case, resting on something non conductive like the board's box or a book. If that does nothing then I am afraid you may have been scammed with a broken board. Things to check for on used motherboards: 1. Bent pins in the socket, if no image is attached to the listing of the socket pins don't buy it. 2. Any indication of liquid on the board, particularly around the capacitors. Sadly this is all too easily cleaned off by a would be scammer. 3. Any indication of burned components, either by visual inspection (blackened areas) or by smell. In cases where I have sold used boards I always demonstrate them working before shipping them out, a short video clip of the board posting being sure to show the serial number on the board so the buyer knows that the board worked when shipped. I find it unlikely that you have 2 bad CPUs and 2 bad sticks of RAM.
