Z390M Pro4 and USB3.1Gen 2 front pan. conn. port

   Hello there! I use the ASRock Z390M Pro4 motherboard. At the bottom of the board under the PCI Express 3.0 x4 slot there is a USB3.1gen 2 front panel connector port as on ASUS, but there is no connector itself. Tell me this connector is functional? Why was it brought out if the connector itself is not there? If you solder the connector from ASUS, will it work?
