AMD FX 4.0 GB PROCESSOR X8 CORE
G SKILL TRIDENT X DDR3 F3-2400 8GB X4 ASUS STRIX R9380 GPU WINDOWS 7 I went to shut it off as I normally would. Went back a few hours latter, all fans where running, including the GPU, no display. I tried to restart, no beeps, all fans would run including the GPU, no display. Even tried F8. During normal startups the GPU fan kicks on for a few seconds, now they're on non stop. I checked all connections, swapped out the processor to a new Phenom 2 X6 CORE I had, swapped the memory sequences & combinations, no change. When I built this, some said my memory was too hot, yet other techs ok'd it. I've had this since Sept of '17 All suggestion will be appreciated! |

I would try another PSU to rule that out. Quite often when a system stops running
after working fine for a long time it's the PSU that has failed/partially failed. |

could be anything
but i can assure you running 4 dimms at 2400mhz on an fx is very very lucky 2 dimms rated at 1866 4 dimms rated at 1600mhz this is amd specs first off i would remove power cord remove the cmos battery and press and hold power button for 30 secs this will reset bios defaults now try to refit battery and power cable and boot the system with only 1 stick this will force the ram to run at either 1333 or maybe 1600 mhz if this works you know your ram AND/OR cpu memory cpntroller are getting old and not able to perform the miracle 2400mhz 4 dimm anymore if no joy suspect either the r9380 or psu as failing |
