Sounds like a keyboard issue not a computer issue.

Today I build a new PC from scratch. I have the ASRock Z97X motherboard. When I started the PC for the first time I get the screen where I can choose to press F2, F6 or F11. But whatever F-button I press nothing happens. I have a keyboard with USB cable. I have tried every USB-port, included the USB 2.0 ports. The numlock light is on, but I then I press the Caps lock or Scroll lock buttons the corresponding lights does not turn on.
I tried a USB to PS2 adapter and things improved. I can now turn on/off the Numlock, Scroll lock and Caps lock lights, but still nothing happens when I press the F keys. So I cant intall the operating system. Anyone have som suggestions? I have tried to connect a USB-stick configured for booting, but nothing happens. |
