Was there ever a fix for this widespread problem??

I have a N3150B-ITX board which the USB3 header wont seem to work (doesn't correctly identify USB devices attached via a standard USB3 header to port cable), one of the rear USB3 ports seems to work with 'some' devices and the other doesn't work at all!

This board was bought brand new (older stock).

Have updated the bios to latest version, installed the latest USB3 drivers from Asrock, nothing seems to work to get those damned USB3 ports working.. I used to think Asrock was a fairly decent brand but because of this I'm leaning more towards ASUS in future builds.
