i5 6600k / AsRock z170 ProS4 mb / 2x4 for 8gb ddr4 2400 memory / msi r9 290x gaming 4g gpu / evga platinum 1000w psu
New build using W7 Sp1. Latest drivers are installed. Also the latest bios is on the board. I put it on after I found i have this problem. I have tried 3 different bios. The memory is fine. I have tested it. Also it is on the motherboard comparability list. The psu is also fine. I do not have a second cpu to check this with. The only way to wake it from sleep is to press down the power button till it shuts down completely, then press the power button again. Have tried turning off the xmp profile. No change. Have tried turning off suspend to ram. That works with hibernate. It works for a sec then the computer turns itself back on. I have read that this is not only happening with my new system. It also happens with other AsRock boards, Asus(parent company)boards, as well as other manufacturers. It happens on Windows 10 as well as Windows 7. Now i suppose i can just set it so it never goes into sleep mode. Because really, being old, retired, and disabled, when I'm awake, all I do is sit at my computer. That is not a solution. The system works fine besides this one problem. Any Ideas?
