Hi,
I am trying to get EFI (old bios) to load on my motherboard. I have a USB stick but it needs a file called shell.efi. 1. where can I get that file? 2. does my usb pen drive need to be placed in a particular USB port? 3. I'm trying to upgrade the firmware of my LSI HBA, can I use this method to do that? Thanks CR |

EFI is not the old BIOS, but a shell that You can use, like the old command prompt.
Sometimes it is used for setting up RAID. But when You google for "create efi shell boot usb", You will get lots of info, on howto https://kcm.trellix.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB90801&actp=null&viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US Once yopu start the EFI shell, you need to know how to use a command line. |

Kind Regards

Thanks for that, I've managed to get into Shell environment via UEFI BIOS, now I just need to figure out how to upgrade this HBA.
