Hello, I just installed a new GPU (1660 super) on my ASRock B450 Pro4, on the first installation and boot, all seems well, after I installed the graphic drivers and restarted, the pc gives me 5 short beeps. The VGA fan is running so I know that it is powered, also when I checked device manager and dxdiag the system able to identify my GPU. What is the cause of 5 beeps? any replies are hugely appreciated!

It's just the motherboard telling you it didn't detect your monitor. It happens on
quite a few monitors that take a bit too long to return a signal back to the GPU.
It isn't a sign of any kind of issue. Some displays take a while to properly power
up and if that interval is longer than the query sent by the PC then you get 5 beeps.
It can be anywhere from 1 to 5 short beeps depending on if the signal is detected
during the beeping process or not.

Hope this puts your mind at ease.

thank you so much for your reply! That really puts my mind at ease. I am currently using the HDMI port, might try using the DP port later since my monitor only supports up to 144hz on HDMI, while could do up to 165hz on DP, will switching the cable make any difference? Also can I change the time of display responding from BIOS? Thanks in advance!

It's just a quirk of the POST system, it isn't anything worth worrying about or
taking measures to avoid.
