Hello everyone

I've just built a PC using the asrock z270 extreme4 motherboard. Everything boots normally and doesn't seem to have any issues, however, I have a solid red light at BIOS A1.

Does anyone know what the light indicates?

Thank you
Woody

That it is running using the A BIOS. You can relax. That's perfectly normal.

Is there any way this could be disabled?
It doesnt turn off even when system is shut down (s5), which is annoying especially at night. Moreover it disrupts the look in side window ;)

It seems the Goodnight LED option that was available on older boards is no longer provided, with the AURA LED lighting.

So I received official answer from AsRock TSD:

Thanks for contacting ASRock.
The symptom of red LED is the hardware design for this board.
It will show the red LED even if it shut down because of the remaining power.
Please understand it!
Thank you!
Have a great day,
ASRock TSD

I decided to paint this led with black marker which helped a little, though it can light even through your finger, lul.
No solution here, you just have to accept that.
