This bios version 2.0 is actually AGESA 1.0.0.3 from wht I can gather and I'm pretty sure it's the same code MSI used in their beta 1.4x bios that they pulled because the code was problamatic. The code string ends in xxxx111C and this indicates AGESA 1.0.0.3.

Why would ASRock be using this AGESA 1.0.0.3 code when other vendors won't use it because of it's potential problems and pulled it from public use.

MSI now use AGESA 1.0.0.4a and 4b in their current bios as do other vendors.

If there is an ASRock rep here perhaps they need to confirm this and why AGESA 1.0.0.4x is not being used in current official bios and if this is indeed the case WHEN will it be available in a bios.

lowdog, I think you are correct.  Please see screenshot:

I updated my Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming MB to BIOS 2.00 yesterday because it was reported to have AEGSA 1.0.0.4a which is supposed to fix the FMA3 problem.  When my system hung this morning while sitting on the Welcome screen, I opened the BIOS file I DLed with a hex editor and searched for AEGSA.  There were several, most looked like error messages, but the one I show I think is the version of AGESA in the 2.00 BIOS.  The ASRock BIOS page clearly indicates it contains AGESA 1.0.0.4a.

gigabytes bios is also incorrectly stating it as version 1003

john its mis-labelled

theres a report on the new agesa code and changes be the canny french guys they state that indeed gigabyte also have the 1004a version being reported as 1003
the forum staff today confirmed this is also the case with asrock bios

it is 1004 but has text/i.d. saying 1003a  (i also read somewhere dont ask me for the link as i cant remember) that it was actually AMD that sent the code to board makers with the signature of 1003 still in it and the board makers just copied it into thier own bios files with the 1003 signature in it (this might have been on the french website i cant remember )

Thanks, datonyb.  I do know it is mislabeled.   I have been in contact with Support for a week or so about my hang problem and inability to update my BIOS.  Today Support said they were aware of the mislabel and had informed HQ - just looked and still says 1004a.  At least I can use Instant Flash after updating to 2.00. 
Can anyone tell me where  the 800111C comes from and what it means?

800111C is the Ryzen processor microcode version number. CPU microcode is stored in the UEFI/BIOS file. CPU microcode is provided by the processor manufacture, in this case AMD.

CPU microcode is similar to firmware for any hardware. It is actually code used by a processor. Bug fixes and improvements to a processors instructions are included in new CPU microcode versions.

A new CPU microcode version from AMD simply means they are improving the operation of the Ryzen processors. It is a welcome thing that does not happen often.

I have looked through the ROM file and cannot find the information.  I will keep looking.  I would like to know what code is the BIOS before I load it.
While I am learning stuff, what is the <chrome-extension...> about?
