I've installed the Mouse Port app from the app shop, but after applying the settings my mouse still polls at 125 instead of 500. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I'm using a Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical with the AB350 Gaming K4 mobo, I have the latest F-Stream and BIOS installed.

Thanks!

axm, I do not have an answer for your, but I know others will want to know what board you have - several Fatal1ty boards.  So, please post your system specifications in your signature as I have.  Enjoy, John.

I searched for the specs of the "Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical", and cannot find anything about its polling rate. Do you know that it supports a polling rate of 500Hz?

Plus that name is very generic, I found multiple models, all inexpensive with no polling rate specs. So we don't know specifically which mouse you have.

As said above, we need to know which board you have.

I listed the motherboard model in the original post, it is an AB350 Gaming K4. Is there more than one revision of a board by that name?

I am able to get 500hz polling using this same mouse with an older ASRock motherboard with Fatal1ty port that I have, so I see no reason it shouldn't be compatible with the newer board.

I tested a few other mice that also work on my older motherboard, I wasn't able to get any of them to poll above 125hz.

Has anyone had success getting the Fatal1ty mouse port to work on the AB350 Gaming K4?

Question: how do you know your mouse ACTUALLY ran @ 500Hz polling rate before?

The software might have been just buggy and showed the value you wanted to see, without actually setting the real polling rate.

It's a noticeable difference in feel. The best proof I can do is a screenshot of dimr.exe running on my old computer with a Fatality port: https://i.imgur.com/1fLz9X5.png

Fair enough!

How do you check your actual polling rate? What's the app you screenshot?

Now I'm curious if my Deathadders 3.5 poll at the advertised 1000Hz with the Windoze driver!

Other than that, I think only some other guy with the same mobo can offer some additional info. But I also strongly encourage you to open a ticket with ASRock.
