Alll,
I searched reviews - and specs here on ASROCK's site - and find no info on the loss of bandwidth to my GPU if  I buy in the future an ASROCK Thunderbolt 3 AIC card.
My current GPU is a nVidia 1060 3Gig variant, two fans.(I edit photographs, not a gamer.)
At the moment I also have an old USB port-adding card in one of the 16x slots because the graphics card blocks the available 1x slot and the other 1x is under a Noctua fan/radiator set. There's a couple of legacy USB2 wireless dongles/inserts I needed: both did not work well in the USB3 connector sockets. Weird...
My case has few panels for outward-facing installation of after-market USB-anything connectors.
But in the near future I might hop up to a Thunderbolt external RAID array.
