I'm trying to build my computer now but the ram isn't clicking in for some reason. The notches are lined up and I'm pushing from both sides.

So I nearly broke my x370 Taichi board because I was trying so hard to unhook the ram latches on the other side pictured but, after much fiddling I was able to get them in, it took quite a bit of pressure, just make sure you have the pins lined up and give her a push.

If I recall mine was quite tight too.
Tighter than the Crucial Ballistix DDR2 I had in my old Asus P5Ke board.

I was just patient and double checked I had them around the right way first.
I was installing with the motherboard in the case already, I couldn't decide whether to try and build and test on it's card box first, but decided to put it in the case and be done with it.

They look like Corsair DIMMs, maybe the PCB was 0.1 mm thicker and thus caused more trouble.

I really dislike the new style of DIMM socket that has only one latch. I find the argument that it provides more clearance for long graphics cards a little tenuous. Instead of inserting the DIMM directly vertically try hooking in the left (no latch) side first and then pressing it down evenly.

at the risk of sounding like i am teaching your grandmother to suck eggs

make sure the slot in the ram stick os correctly lined up (its offset)

and as mentioned they require far far more pressure than you think they should to click in
