I don't even want to know what would happen to you in case of a simple headache.

Had same problems using I7-6700T. Installed new BIOS 1.70 (10/28/2015) via Instant Flash. Now everything works fine.
Idle: 0% usage @ 0.78 GHz

HAPPY !!!

ASRock replied me with an updated firmware (1.40) and it resolved the problem!
It's still not available on the download page but I'm sure it will be in a few days.

I have to say: I'm impressed they found the time to test a configuration given by a single user (though not rare), made a fix and send it to the customer directly. It's a rare and nice behaviour.

Thank you ASRock!

I had this exact problem and was looking for new motherboards (from other brands). When i found this thread i was going to use the thread to add my setup to the mess. I have the same type of ram, Corsair Vengeance LP 2x8G but 'only' have a i5 6500 CPU.

Checked this thread for updates 2days ago and there were some more posts talking about new BIOS. Last try to get the computer working was testing the 1.40 BIOS, and thankfully it worked. Now the compy stopped abusing the CPU
