I have records in the Event Viewer Critical but are due to freeze.
I have opened a ticket to Microsoft and the conclusion was the Motherboard was not tested for Windows 1803.

The conclusion I got from Microsoft is the board is still incompatible to Windows 1803.

best regards,

Check your Event Viewer under windows -> application. You can right click Application and set filters for error, warning and critical.

Check this after an event (freeze, crash etc) taking note of the time the issue occurred. Hopefully there will be a log entry that will explain where the issue is coming from.

I have had endless issues with Win 1803 myself. Over a week of troubleshooting on my Ryzen system thanks to Microsoft and their crap. I would dump Win in favor of linux but all the applications I use for work/hobbies are windows only......

I have taken a look to
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20775/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-INF-Update-Utility-?product=1145
and it is not for Z370.

It is only for z170, z270 and older chipsets....

one thing you might try
download the latest setupchipset.exe from Intel (google for it.)
run setupchipset.exe -overall  then try to install your drivers.

It is a fresh install of windows 10 from usb stick (created with media tool).

Are you able to run Corsair Scimitar mouse setup and install without freeze?
or install WiFi_20.50.0_PROSet64_Win10.exe ?

also this one freezes: http://aezay.dk/aezay/ssdz/SSD-Z_16.09.09wip.rar

Using Taichi with latest W10 and no problems. I would suggest clean install from the latest iso downloaded from microsoft. Windows updates always broke something :(

No problems here. Running i8700K at 5ghz and windows 1803 on NVME SSD. Also running windows 7 and Windows 10 RS5 17672 on 2 other SATA SSDs.
32GB ram and Gtx 1070.

I know that 1083 has some problems with Intel SSDs not sure about ADATA though.

Hi ASRock members,

It is the first ASRock mobo I have and I have problems with Windows 10 Pro ver 1803.
With some setup programs which install drivers Windows freezes.

It happend with the setup from Corsair for the Scimitar mouse,
and also with the latest intel wifi setup 20.50.0.

Also very strange a small program SSD-Z is always crashing.
On other setups I have it works always fine.

But the biggest problem is Scimitar mouse which I cannot install. When it goes in setup to the message Installing driver it just freezes.

I suspect the BIOS 1.80 is incompatible with Windows 1803 because strange in 1709 it worked.
But I have to use the latest updates.

The setup I have is:
Z370 Taichi with Intel core i5-8400 @1.1V
16GB RAM Kingston Savage ddr4 2400
water cooling Corsair H80i v2
SSD AData NVMe SX8200
no overclock

Does anyone have similar problems, Anyone could help.
Thanks,

best regards,
George
