I'm having a problem where when I put in G-skill aegis 2x8 3000mhz ram into the slot where the manual tells me to put in (a2 & b2) it wont post but when I take out b2 or put it in a1 it works? the same thing happens when I put it in a1 and b1.

Specs:gpu:Rx 590
      cpu:Ryzen 5 3600
      motherboard: Asrock b450m-pro4
      ram:G-skill Aegis 2x8 2133-3000mhz
      power supply:evga 750 watts 80+ certified

Do both sticks work in A1 by themselves? Does the confirmed working stick of RAM work in A2?

Is this a brand new motherboard?

Double check the non-working RAM slots for debri with a magnifying glass or similar

both of them work when put in the same slot, it is also a brand new motherboard. I only just flashed a light on the b1 and b2 slots and i havent seen any dust on both of them

Are you actually trying to install RAM while the PC is running?! You do not do that. EVER! That can easily damage the RAM. You might be able to add an HDD while powered up, because of SATA PnP, but RAM is not PnP.

try flashing the bios to latest version
using only 1 stick of ram and the bios reset to defaults before flashing

The RAM itself might be bad. It happened to me, recently.
