Just updated firmware to 2.00 and Windows is lucky to get 5 minutes of runtime before crashing. Anyone else experiencing the same issue? I rolled back to FW 1.30 AS02 and stability returned.

I updated it and it worked fine for 1 day but this morning it would not recognize my external GPU. I had to flash 1.28 to get it to boot from the external GPU. I think they did not test it enough before releasing it to the public. I would wait for a new stable release.

I updated my bios to version 2.0 today and the pc now suddenly reboots in the bios window without any input nor exit command, sometimes several times in a sequence.
I can't start it, pc with X670E steel legend amd 79503dx, since assembly 5 months ago without problems, couldn't get into os anymore, testen ubuntu and debian too, didn't work at all, once os installed on reboot it doesn't recognize the boot efi anymore, all possible repairs and restores don't work, that's why I've already upgraded 4 ssd one after another, with all 4 exactly the same failures always the same result, at a computer shop the hardware was fully checked, everything is 100% ok and compatible
I noticed that the new bios version doesn't allow to select AMD CPU fTPM, wonder if it's possible to boot into windows.
I'm now thinking about buying another mb

After the failure with 2.00 firmware, I rolled back to 1.30.AS02. Then I update to 1.30.AS05 which is stable but I lost the front mic. Seems I can't update FW without encountering problems.

Please let us know if 2.02 has solved the problem and if you had to increase ram voltage which I'm very reluctant to do.

Hello with bios 2.02 everything is working again. System is stable again with xmp Setting. I had no need to increase any voltages. Also curve editor and pbo are fine again. Thanks for the fixes Asrock Tesm

I now updated my new purchased Steel Legend ver. 1.21 to bios 2.02 and it was working good, cause after the bios update restart the pc got stuck in black screen and I then did a cmos reset and took out 3 ram modules at the same time and the pc started without any problems. originally I had bought 4x32gb ram modules, 2 pairs in pair, corsair CMK64GX5M2B6000C40 ver 4.43.02 listed in the memory qvl. that seems to not be working at all. also as soon as I activated the sata raid in the bios I could not start it again, reset cmos again and load default uefi setting, now it runs on 32GB ram ;-(

I can't update to 2.0 or 2.02 due to a blank screen error at cold boot. I've been working with Asrock tech support but so far no luck. It runs fine on version 1.28 and 1.30. I don't get it, they changed something in the newer version, the hardware is fine. This probably will be my first and last Asrock board, I never had any problems for years with Gigabyte.

I am really sorry to hear that. Maybe you can try to see it in a bit diferent way, that you helped to improve the bios and alsoother people who light have similar issues. I know how frustrating it can be but in the end all this is made by humans and humans make mistakes.

Best regards

I have Steel Legend B650E Wifi motherboard.

On Bios 1.28 so far no major issue.

Did seem an external harddisk not work well and failed to react properly and seemed to lock up windows explorer on windows 11, could be usb protocol issue, electrical issue or windows 11 bug or bad luck.

I did notice some other electrical line going over monitor, seen it only once so far, related to this external usb harddisk, perhaps saver to never use it again... could be cased by no grounding present on these devices because of appartment/electrical situation... though unplugging cables can fix these kinds of issues perhaps ground loop issue.

Anyway concerning the motherboard, I am quite happy with it... fan curve support and rgb support could be better software wise.

Especially spinning up fans based on max( of cpu or gpu), now would have to choose, cpu runs hotter though, for now I keep it on manual/fixed RPM settings, in summer I might experiment with colors for temps and maybe auto throttle on cpu temps or so ! ;)
