Hi, I have a Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming i7 MB and the problem is that using the M.2-1 connection my 850 is not recognised in the bios. If I move it to any other m.2 slot then it's recognised and the system boots in to Windows. I have reset the bios,(ver 2.0) used defaults and even removed the cmos batt. There are no other devices connected to the sata ports. Anyone come across this behaviour. Also switched from A-B bios.
Pete.

M2_1, SATA3_0, SATA3_1 and SATA_EXP0 share lanes. If either one of them is in use, the others will be disabled. M2_2, SATA3_2, SATA3_3 and SATA_EXP1 share lanes. If either one of them is in use, the others will be disabled. M2_3, SATA3_4, SATA3_5 and SATA_EXP2 share lanes. If either one of them is in use, the others will be disabled.

Thanks for the reply but, like I said in my post , this happens with on other devices connected to any of the Sata ports. Just using the 850 in the M.2-1 port.

" rel="nofollow - I have the same problem in z270 taichi. Motherboard detect patriot hellfire 240Gb PCIx4 ssd only in port M2_2. Drive is not visible in M2_1 and M2_3. Anyone knows if that is a motherboard failure or should i wait for new bios version?
