" rel="nofollow - Hi

I bought an  H110M ITX/AC mb from Amazon with a Kabylake processor bu nothing happens

It is suggested that my MB requires a BIOS update first but the board was advertised as bing 6th and 7th Gen compatible

How do I update the bios if I cant boot the thing
If it is because of the processor isnt thiis a chicken egg situation?

Thanks

S

Sadly yes, "chicken -> egg" for sure. While the boards are compatible no manufacturer can update the BIOS on boards that are already out of the factory and on shelves.

You have 2 options:

1. Buy, borrow or steal a compatible Skylake CPU and update the BIOS then return it.

2. Get a new BIOS chip directly from ASRock preflashed with the correct BIOS version.

Thank you for your quick reply

The problem here is that the seller advertised it as Gen 6 and 7 compatible
Should have said Gen 7 compatible with a BIOS update
