I am trying to download drivers from this page:
https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z790M-ITX%20WiFi/#Download The following drivers I downloaded (both global and China/FTP links) do not match the SHA256 displayed, with 3 trys: INF driver ver:10.1.20398.8776 2026/9/10 VGA driver ver:32.0.101.7079 2026/9/10 The other drivers I downloaded succeed in SHA256 matching. Are the above drivers corrupted or is the displayed SHA256 wrong£ Please update the ASRock page. As a new forum member, I don't have permissions to create a new topic. |

Thanks for the report, I will reach out to my contacts at ASRock and inform them.
I checked myself and you are correct, the SHA256 values do not match for those 2 downloads. I will pass it along so they can resolve it. In the mean time you can grab the latest INF and VGA drivers directly from intel's website: Intel VGA Driver 32.0.101.7092 INF Driver 10.1.20658.8883 |

Thanks for reaching out to ASRock, and thanks for the Intel links.
The Intel VGA driver page says that it is a generic driver. Is the version distributed by ASRock customized and tested on ASRock hardware£ I noticed that ASRock's ZIP file modification date is 3 months after Intel's. The Intel INF driver page says that it does not include USB drivers. Does ASRock's INF driver include USB drivers£ Or are the USB drivers now distributed as "Intel Serial IO driver ver:30.100.2531.31"£ |

No problem at all. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
I am afraid I have no idea regarding customizations to the VGA driver I suspect it is likely simply the latest one that they have tested. There would be no benefit to customizing it. There was a time where board manufacturers had some incentive to do so to bolster benchmark results etc but that never really applied to iGPUs. As far as I am aware the USB drivers are covered by Windows as they follow a set standard. The reason it was mentioned in the INF driver description was simply informative in the case that someone thought the INF driver could resolve a USB issue. Basically, you don't need intel specific USB drivers unless you are using a specialized add in card that uses a specialized intel controller (servers and such use these). The VGA driver is for the iGPU which is built into the CPU so intel's own driver will always be the best, most up to date version. I hope this answers your question. |

By the way, for helping other users, could you correct this this thread title from Z70M to Z790M£
Since I still don't have permissions to open a new topic, I'll ask here... I haven't seen any version of this driver on ASRock downloads before 2026/9/10: Intel Serial IO driver ver:30.100.2531.31 I use Windows 10 22H2 updated 2025 October. Does this replace the Windows driver for USB£ I have seen in forums that Thunderbolt devices work much better on Apple Mac than on Windows. Does the Intel Serial IO driver work better on Thunderbolt devices than the Windows USB driver£ |

Sorry, I didn't mention the serial IO driver in my last post. It has nothing to
do with USB. It handles UART and other more basic serial connectivity for devices like touchpads, touchscreens and some internal serial communication within the board itself. So no, it won't have any effect Thunderbolt functionality. Apple developed the standard in conjunction with intel who was providing Apple with CPUs and chipsets at the time. As a result it's compatibility with PC (windows and other OSes) is less mature. Apple is known for integrating it's hardware on lower level than PC and in tech terms, lower level = better. |
