I updated my h97 fatality killer and z97 pro 4

4K 64Thrd read 379 write 270

Acc time read 0.098 write 0.067

Score read 448 write 382

Microsoft AHCI driver

Didnt look before, but i looked now at cpu utilisation and on i5 its 4K write at 22% and read at 11% and on i7 is 4k write 11-16% and read 5%

I hope i wrote all numbers without mistakes. Some numbers are higher and some are lower. I change ms ahci and intel driver sometimes. have intel before rusults and maybe will post results with intel driver later

It will be interesting to see if maybe crucial and other ssd manufacturers release new firmware (i really dont know is it anything they can do) but to be honest i am a little tires of firmware update on hardware without warranty!

Smile Here's a Sandy Bridge success story: My old ASRock Z68 Pro3 with latest microcode in the firmware. The firmware is L2.16A [beta] from Feb 25, 2013 which I patched using UBU Smile

The line that is very hard to read (blue on blue) reads
"Windows OS support for PCID performance optimization is enabled: False [not required for security]"

That's a feature apparently not supported by the core i5 2500k cpu.

Many thanks to Morku, who pointed me in the right direction!

Z77 Extreme4 user with i5-3570K still waiting for a bios update. I hope you won't let me down. I've been using ASRock mainboards for many years now. Not just for my own PCs but also always recommending (and building) them for friends / family.
Getting bios updates or not for our "dated" mainboards will be taken into consideration when buying / recommending future hardware.

Lenovo for example are rolling out bios updates for many EOL notebooks. I got bios updates for all my Sandy Bridge Thinkpads. Even older Core2 models will get updates. Guess which manufacturer I will prefer when buying / recommending future notebooks.

So please, ASRock, keep rolling out bios updates for older mainboards. It is your chance to show why we should keep buying your products.

Nothing else done but reboot.

HOW to insert a picture???

ok, so in plain text:

4K                 19,8 -> 20,1 MB/s

4K-64Thrd      247 -> 283 MB/s

access time 0,141 -> 0,102 ms

WRITE

seq                 307 -> 307 MB/s

4K                  82,0 -> 87,7 MB/s

4K-64Thrd       232 -> 277 MB/s

access time  0,068 -> 0,044 ms

Updated my x99 oc formula, seems a bit laggy when going 100% cpu usage, even when playing webm's or 1080p video, and wakes time has tripled.
I will be switching over to my secondary bios until this is resolved, no reason a 4.5ghz 5820k should be struggling like that.

JCorrea
This Bios you posted for me.
It would be corrupted, with error, or it would be for another Motherboard Model.
But the problem has now been resolved.
I re-recorded Bios through a Recorder.
Thank you

Yes, they have done this with the B250M-HDV too. They released 2.30 with microcode updates. Then deleted it from the website. Later, they released 2.50. Now, there is no download in between firmware 2.20 and 2.50.
