BIOS Update for Spectre and Meltdown For Older MBs

microsoft released microcode update for haswell so you dont need bios update

there is update for all recent windows 10 versions but not for aprils creators update yet.

so you can install protection if you are not on latest build, and if you are microsoft will release for that soon

Hopefully a bios with a microcode update for B85M Pro3 will be released.

I'm not using windows 10 and this is the only windows version that received microcode updates for Spectre and Meltdown.

VMware CPU Microcode Update Driver doesn't help (windows checks for the required cpu "instructions" way before wmware cpu microcode updates the microcode and because the check fails it doesn't enable the protection),

Hey Roger that,

i created a new Bios with Spectre Microcode with the Tool UEFI Bios Updater.

Its based on the Bios 1.40 but with the updated Microcode 24 for Haswell and Broadwell Boards.

how can i update your bios? Can i flash your file with the integrated Asrock bios-tool? Or must i use a dos system?

And is it safe to flash? Sorry for the stupid questions but i dont want brick my rig.
