My computer crash when I play but never during benchmarks. The problem occurs randomly: sometimes on the main menu, sometimes after 1 minute of play, sometimes after 3 hours of play, ... I got a black screen and the fans are running at full power until I turn off the power (reset doesn't work, I have to cut the power).

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: ASROCK Radeon RX 6800 Phantom Gaming D 16G OC

    BIOS: L02

    DRIVER: 21.3.1 (I also tried 20.11.2 WHQL))

    Kombustor without crash.

    FurMark without crash.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5600X

Cooling: CORSAIR A500 (ejecting air to the back of the tower)

    CPU Burner without crash.

Motherboard: ASROCK X570 Phantom Gaming 4

    BIOS: 3.90

    MICROCODE: A20F10/A201009

    DRIVER: 2.13.27.501

RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 Memory Kit - Black

XMP 2.0: DDR4-3200 1.350V (also tried without XMP)

    Windows Memory Diagnostic OK.

    Memtest86 OK.

PSU: CORSAIR HX850 850 Watt 80 PLUSĀ® PLATINUM Certified Fully Modular PSU

One Daisy Cable per GPU Power Connector (= 2 * 8-pins cables)

Case: CORSAIR 110Q Mid-Tower Quiet ATX Case

Cooling: 3 * ML120 (aspiring fresh air into the case from the front)

Operating System: MICROSOFT Windows 10 Pro

    License: Official

Age: Fresh installation (formatted 2 times because the first time I thought I made a mistake)

    Version: 20H2

    Build: 19042.868

OCCT without error. Event Log: Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0

Good to Know:

Games that crashes: Rust, Hunt: Showdown, Escape From Tarkov, Valheim.

Similar to a know issue but now my computer crash on every games. (CF.: Reddit/r/AMDHelp: Newly-built PC immediately restarts when launching some games. 5900x & 6800xt. Appears to have correlation with Easy Anti-Cheat.)

The crash randomly occur: sometimes as soon as I start a game, other times I can play multiple game without crash depending the game I play.

I bought my config one month ago, all parts are new. So, I tried to swap my current PSU with my old PSU that works perfectly (650W) and got the same problem.

Yesterday I got the same issue multiple times so I tried to reinstall the Graphic Card driver and now it works. Is it possible that the problem comes from the graphic card (hardware)£ Because the problem seems to reappear after an amount of time, without any reason, without changing anything on my computer but reinstalling the graphic card driver seems to resolve it for a time.

if you are still running the 3.20 BIOS, update to 3.90.

If you are running any RGB type software, EAC can be very fickle... and iCue has been known to cause problems with gaming.

Hunt:Showdown is the only game I play anymore .. unless my 12 year old daughter asks me to play Destiny 2 with her

sounds like still some ongoing issues with the radeon adrenalin driver suite
amd are working hard on these issues
temp possibole solution >>>

do windows add/remove for all amd software
(chipset and gpu)
then delete the c drive amd folder

install latest chipset from amd using the installer
download the adrenalin driver to desktop
BUT THEN DO NOT AUTO INSTALL IT

simply click proceed but right click and save the temp extraction folder location
then decline the install

then go to device manager and click on gpu install driver
and browse/paste the TEMP DOWNLOAD location

this will install the basic drivers for the 6800 WITHOUT the adrenaline suite , this has been shown to cure a lot of the issues like black screens etc
