Hi! I recently built new rig with ASRock MOBO and unfortunately, PC crashes, quite randomly.
Sometimes during gaming, sometimes when just browsing Internet. What actually happens is - displays go black & fans on PC start working on max speed. I cannot check anything in this state so I have to reboot. Full spec: ASRock X670E Steel Legend AMD Ryzen 5 7600X MSi GeForce RTX 4070Ti Ventus 3X OC 12GB GDDR6X G.Skill Ripjaws S5, DDR5, 32 GB, 6000MHz, CL30 SSD Lexar NM790 2TB M.2 2280 PCI-E x4 Gen4 NVMe be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 1000W Windows 11 I've tried installing latest BIOS 2.0 from ASRock website, but no luck with that. |

so you have installed the newest BIOS then? Or are you having issues trying to install the newest BIOS?
Are you running any kind of extension cables INSIDE your case? .. ie .. PCIe riser cable or custom power cables, etc Do you have the latest AM5 chipset drivers installed from AMD.com website? What are you using for cooling on your 7600x? Are you overclocking anything? Using PBO presets or offsets ..etc? Do you have same issue with XMP/EXPO disabled? |

Sorry for lack of some info, my post yesterday has been written in quite a rush.
My CPU cooler is be quiet! Pure Rock 2 120mm (BK006) I successfully installed latest BIOS from ASRock website, but it didn?™t fix my problems. Recently I also installed latest Windows update, latest Nvidia and AMD chipset drivers (although the latter one from ASRock website, not AMD, I don?™t know does it make a difference). I didn?™t change anything in BIOS by myself yet, so everything is set to default settings. I also ran Cinebench and 3dmark benchmarks yesterday to check how PC behaves on heavy load but I wasn?™t able to reproduce my issue like that. I also had other problems before worth mentioning: - Bluetooth driver sometimes was stopping working out of nowhere and I had to reinstall driver - Sometimes I was losing internet cable connection and CPU has been 100% occupied during this time. To mitigate it I had to reset network card via system settings. Those 2 problems don?™t appear since I disabled Core isolation in Windows settings but maybe it?™s connected. Im struggling to use guarantee and send MOBO to ASRock, but I?™m not convinced is it MOBO or some other piece of hardware affected. |

Check your CPU mount, make sure the pressure is even, Am5 is notorious for to much or to little contact pressure on the socket, I had a plethora of issues similar to this with my x670 tachi, solved for me by adding washers to my ekwb water block standoffs....
