Sure, be sure both the 24 pin ATX power cable and the four pin CPU power cables are connected to the board. Both are required for the board and CPU to start. Also, check that all the cable connections from the PC case switches and LEDs to the mother board header are correct. It is very easy to get them wrong, as well as the + and - connections of the connectors. I did that myself the other day, put them on wrong and nothing happens when pressing the power button. Is the PSU new and never used or tested before? Or is the PSU old and possibly not working well? If you put this board in a PC case that had a different board in it previously , the mother board standoffs might not be in the same locations, and an unused standoff could be shorting a connection on the bottom of the board. |

Is this a new build, a new PC? Are you trying to install Windows? Using a Windows disk from another PC? You have not given us any information about your other hardware, or what version of Windows you are using, or if this is a new PC. |

Please list all your parts, including power supply make and model.
At this point there is nothing we can suggest without knowing these details.

The PC was working, and now has this problem, and is broken. Did you build it yourself, or did the shop build it for you? Or was it sold to you already built by a company like HP? Your problem could be caused by many different things. If it is only 5 months old and you bought it as a complete PC, the shop should fix it for you under warranty. |
