Hey

I can´t install the Realtek Controller, every time it gives me the error "The realtek Network Controller was not found. If deep sleep mode is enabled Please plug the cable."

I have tried turning it off, taking out RAM etc. Should I just RMA the board?

elluboy, please provide complete specifications for your system, preferably in your signature as I have.  Please open the BIOS and make sure in the Front Panel setting, that HD is selected and not AC97.  If you cannot find it, post and I'll give a better description.  Also, make sure your front panel audio connections are correct.  In any case please let us hear back.  Enjoy, John.

You should re-read my initial post, it has nothing to do with audio. The problem is with the network controller, nothing happens when I plug in the LAN cable, no LEDs, nothing. Also I cannot install the driver, because of the error that I described.

Sorry, elluboy.  You are correct I took Realtek as audio as it is on my board.  Thanks for the specifications, but please list your BIOS version and OS.  I suggest you add LAN to your title.  You can do this by editing your first post.  Others may be thinking of audio also. I looked at your board manual and can see nothing obvious but can only suggest you look in your BIOS (latest?) and see if there is any control to enable/disable the LAN.  There will be for "Wake on LAN".  I also suggest you open a support ticket, so you can RMA the board if needed.  Sorry about the misread.  Enjoy, John.

This is a brand new board I installed 2 days ago. It came default with BIOS version 2.40, I have also tried 3.00 and 3.10 all with default BIOS settings. I installed a PCI-E LAN card and that works without problems. I have contacted the ASRock support to see if this is a known issue.
