Yes, burn the usb 3 drivers to a DVD. Here are links to all Win 7 64bit drivers for z370 here:
Intel Chipset v10.1.17541.8066 (.exe dated 1/10/2018) ftp://asrock.cn/Drivers/Intel/INF/INF(v10.1.17541.8066).zip Note: the contents is about same as 10.1.17479.8054 except for a few differant descriptions, mainly of the PCIe 16x Intel SATA: full package Intel Rapid Storage: 15.8.1.1007* note requires .Net Frameworks 4.5+ https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27442/ driver only: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/05SATA/RST_15.8.1.1007_20170913_WHQL.zip download and extract, driver only is in Driver folder Intel SATA: full package Intel Rapid Storage: 15.9.0.1015* note requires .Net Frameworks 4.5+ https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27400/ Intel(R)_USB_3.0_eXtensible_Driver_5.0.4.43 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22824/ Intel Gigabit I219v lan driver: Version: 23.1 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/18713/ NOTE: I suggest extracting the USB_3.0_eXtensible_Driver and using its drivers if you are creating a fixed bootable DVD or thumb drive. The drivers in 5.0.4.43 are newer than those in the Asrock and Intel creation tools. for Realtek 1220 use the Asus driver : Version 6.0.1.8219 2017/09/05754.52 MBytes Realtek Audio Driver Realtek Audio Driver Support Win 7 64bit&Win 10 64bit. https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/01AUDIO/Audio_6.0.1.8219_20170901.zip |

This has activated my keyboard and mouse. Yay! Thanks.
However the USB still does not work for the thumb drive (which is the install disk). It is still "looking for drivers", which I'm 99% sure is due to the fact all the ports are USB 3. How did you get around that. Use a DVD? Thanks. |

You can install Windows 7 with full USB3 support very easily on the Z370 Pro4.
Just enable PS2 emulation mode in the bios before you start the Windows 7 install, and you will have complete USB mouse and keyboard functionality throughout the install process. I am currently running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my Z370 Pro4 without issue. |

Unfortunately Windows 7 is not officially supported on 300 series boards. This comes from intel and AMD (AM4 in the case of AMD), board partners have no say in the matter.
That said, there may be workarounds and hacks to make it work. Your best bet is to Google a tutorial/video on how to do it. On the few occasions I have done so I have set up the OS on an older machine then moved the drive to the new machine after installing USB 3.xx drivers. It's tricky and requires a system that uses similar (compatible) drivers. Not a viable method for most.

Hi,
I'm trying to install Windows 7, while installation mouse and keyboard are working, but when computer restarts and I must provide username keyboard and mouse are not working. I tried different options in bios with no luck. Please help, any suggestion will be much welcome.
