Hello parsec,

sorry for my late answer,  i used the  AHCI SM951 to as an boot device for a couple of months, but it seemed to be defective. So want to send it back to the vendor to get a new one or better, to exchange it with new Samsung 950 Pro V-NAND MLC Toggle NVME SSD. Wink

which is an Enduser Product an not an OEM.

NVMe support was added in UEFI 1.80 for your board.

NVMe PCIe SSDs like the Samsung 950 (is that the SSD you are talking about?) are so new, we don't have any experience with it yet with your board.

Some boards needed a further UEFI update in order to allow NVMe SSDs to be bootable. The Windows installation must be done in a specific way too.

My AHCI SM951 was bootable on my ASRock X99 Extreme6/3.1.

If a further UEFI update is necessary, ASRock has provided those updates and will do so with your board.
