I would agree with that. Just be patient and hope a future BIOS is better. In fairness to ASRock I don't think the mboard guys got much time with the new BIOS's. It's on AMD too for better microcode supporting non X570 chipset. BUT! Do ASRock hold back the release of Gen 3 Ryzen BIOS support until it's solid and stable, or do they push it quick to the consumer to compete with the other mobo vendors so they aren't the odd ones out and just hope for the best? I would say their brand reputation would actually GROW if anything holding it back ensuring quality but,... sadly corporate felt otherwise. |

I'm pretty sure the bios just plain broke compatibility. I can physically insert just the card in the slot, and it will boot fine. But the moment I plug a drive in, it just gets stuck at the logo. I've swapped many drives and cables, and nothing works.

I managed to get it to boot. It turns out that it was the pcie sata expansion card preventing it from going. I have removed it, but now my new problem is how do I install it back? Reattaching the exp card just adds the same problem back. My drive slots are already full, so I can't really just plug the drive in somewhere else.

I've attempted to clear the cmos multiple times btw. None have helped.
Moving the ram around produces the same result. It just goes to the same logo with the "options", but doesn't progress any further. I have the tiny speaker installed, but there are no beeps. |

I'm trying to install a 3700x onto my AB350 Fatal1ty Gaming K4. I've installed bioses:
3.4 5.4 5.8 With my 1600x still in the socket, I updated from 5.4 to 5.8. After it reboot, it just got stuck there. It just shows the ASRock logo, press f2/del/f6 and whatnot. None of my keyboard presses do anything. Afaik, it said the update to 5.8 was a success. So I don't know what's wrong. I can't get into the uefi at all, so there's no way for me to try and revert it. I thought the problem would go away if I install the 3700x in. But the problem still persists. |
