no bios will magically allow you to run xmp tuned for intel

you'll need to manual set the timing to get 3000mhz or above

I currently own the asrock ab350 pro4, recently i just swapped out my Corsair vengeance LPX 8gb (2x4) 3200mhz to a 16gb kit that runs at 3000mhz.
The 8gb kit was running at the 2666mhz that the board allows up to without OC.
Once i installed the 16gb kit, the stock mhz was at 2111mhz.

I can't find the previous code model # for the 8gb kit.
16b kit: CMK16GX4M2B3000C15

I played around with the xmp profile and got it up to 2666mhz.

My computer:
CPU - Ryzen 5 1600
GPU - RTX 2060
RAM - 2x8 CMK16GX4M2B3000C15
MB - Asrock ab350 pro 4.

A few questions i need some help getting answers on.

will any of the BIOS updates increase RAM speed/performance?

How come my 3000mhz ran at a stock of 2111mhz if they're very similar?

If any other info is needed feel free to ask.
Thank you for your time in replying and helping. It's very much appreciated.
